Blank GreetinG Card - Marmot - Mixed Media Collage

Artwork Details:
Have you ever seen a marmot? In the Pacific Northwest, they tend to live in the mountains, so unless you’re there too, they’re easy to miss. These giant rodents are related to ground squirrels and groundhogs. Every marmot I’ve ever met has had some attitude, ferocity, and a strong spirit. They always tell me (in no uncertain terms) that I am trespassing on their land. And I love them for their tenacity and strength living in large family groups in a pretty harsh environment. This mixed media collage features a marmot standing on its hind legs as they do, keeping watch. This piece incorporates lots of words describing the marmot like, “fierce,” “alpine,” and “family first.”
