Sublimation - 8x10 Art Print

Artwork Details:
Sometimes the air is so dry that when it hits a snowpack, the frozen water evaporates going directly from ice to vapor and bypassing the liquid phase entirely. This is called sublimation and it's a common way for snow to disappear in the arid West. The fox in this collage seems to be experiencing the ‘sublime’ part of sublimation - the warmth of the sun on a winter day. This is the February image found in my 2025 wall calendar. Although it works as a stand-alone image, each design in this collection was created to tell part of a story of how the water on our planet connects us all. This piece incorporates hidden words like, “peace,” “content,” and “sublimation.”
