Hello friends! Snow, Valentines Day, more snow, art making, and a little more snow ... the days have been full and joyful. I have so much to share right now, I'm not sure where to start. One of these happy annoucnemnts has been in the works for over a year now, so let's start with that one, shall we? Drum roll please....
I HAVE LAUNCHED A NEW WEBSITE!
Most likely you are reading this on my new site, so you may have noticed that things look a little different around here. Please take a moment to poke around and explore. I am NOT a web developer so it has taken me LOTS of time watching YouTube video tutorials on how to build this baby from the ground up. Needless to say it has been a S-L-O-W process and a true laborcof love. But I am a firm believer in Marie Forelo's mantra - "Everything is figure-out-able." And after many many months of work... here it is.
I am so happy with how it turned out. And I truly hope you are too!
One of the features I am most excited about is my new private wholesale shop. If you are a retailer and interested in carrying my products in your shop, please email me to get the link and password to my new online shop built just for you!
Whether you are a retailer or not, I am interested in your feedback! Drop me a line and let me know what you think about the new website. I especially want to know if something didn't work smoothly for you or you have ideas of what could be done better! This site is a work in progress and my goals are for it to leave you feeling inspired, help you find art that lifts you up, and give us an opportunity to connect with each other.
Which leads me to my next announcement... If you are looking for an opportunity to connect with yourself and others through a fun, creative evening...
I'm hosting another Art Night Out!
So many of you wanted to attend the Art Night Out I held in January, but the class filled up! So I immediately booked the space to hold another one. The next Art Night Out will be held on Friday, April 12th from 5-8pm. It will once again be held at the beautiful and historic Mt. Hood Town Hall in Parkdale, Oregon. For more information and to register for the event hop on over here. I hope you can join us! And for those of you who have attended in the past, please come again! I will have cooked up a brand new project for us to enjoy together!
Speaking of connecting with eachother, I've had the opportunity to connect with so many new faces thanks to some recent press.
I am so honored to have been featured in the most recent issue of the Hood River Ruralite Magazine!
It was a true joy to get to meet the journalist Drew Myron who interviewed me and wrote the story. Many thanks to Drew and Ruralite Magazine for the feature!
And there's more! I get regular questions about original artwork and whether it is for sale anywhere. The way I have been making my work in recent years (collaging the layers of a piece separately and assembling them digitally), I don't really have originals like that anymore. Until now.
I am making a whole series of large original works of art!
I have been starting with an underpainting on these pieces and it has been so fun to get into the paints again! Once I finish doing the paintings, I will dig in and using my usual technique, start turning these babies into collages. In the end, they will be shown and available for sale. Until then, here are some sneak peeks of the underpaintings I have done so far...
And until these originals are done, you still have my final annoucnement/reminder...
I have NEW artwork in my shop now!
I've been so happy with the initial response to my new collections. I hope you are enjoying them too! I can think of about a million places I'd love to hang the animal prints. They were so fun to make!
Phew! I think those are the highlights! As always, I am so grateful for your continued love and support! My connection with you and this planet is what fuels my fire. Thank you for joining me on this artful journey!
