Join me for a Journey of Reconnection

Join me for a Journey of Reconnection

Hello friends,

This post is going to be a little different. My purpose today is to inspire you to join me for a deeply meaningful retreat that I will be holding in Hood River on Saturday, June 29, 2019. I want you to come because I believe you will LOVE it. Your soul will LOVE it. And the world needs you to take good care of your soul.

“The most important and fulfilling work we as humans can do on this planet at this time is to reconnect to ourselves, to one another, and to the natural world." ~ Julia Plevin

As many of you know, I have spent the vast majority of my adult life studying and working in the world of natural resource management. I started down that path of study for a lot of reasons, but a big one was because I love being in nature. I feel the most grounded, inspired, and connected when being in and learning from the natural world. It's not really any surprise that I feel very passionate about conserving and protecting the natural world. You want to take care of someone you love - and whom you perceive loves you back. Some of you may have just raised your eyebrows at that last comment.

"Jordan, you're really telling me you think the earth loves you?"

Yes, I do. The earth shows us her love in so many ways, not the least of which is that she sustains us. In fact, the systems in place to support all life on earth are nothing short of miraculous. Add to that, the fact that we are mammals. We are of this earth and an intricate part of the natural systems on it. As Native American Chief Oren Lyons says, "The environment isn't over here. The environment isn't over there. You are the environment."

We've somehow allowed ourselves as a culture to forget these facts. And by feeling separate from the environment, it became okay to destroy the planet for our benefit. But we forget that in doing so, we are destroying ourselves too. And we forget the wealth of wisdom that is innate within us, lying dormant until we get still enough to reconnect.

“Knowing that you love the earth changes you, activates you to defend and protect and celebrate. But when you feel that the earth loves you in return, that feeling transforms the relationship from a one-way street into a sacred bond.” Robin Wall Kimmerer

I have felt an urge to host a retreat around this idea of reconnecting to our intuition for a while now. I knew it needed to be in the woods and involve making art. Because for me, the best ways to access my innate wisdom is through creative play and reconnecting with the natural world. And I feel like it is so very important to help people reconnect right now.

But honestly, I have been afraid of realizing this dream because it feels so much bigger than just a retreat.

At the risk of sounding a tad dramatic - it feels like the closest thing I've ever felt to a calling. It's a way of combining and sharing my two biggest passions - a love of the natural world and art - in one experience that I know has the potential to really change the way you show up in this world.

And this, my friends, is why I so want you to join me on this journey.

When you come, your soul will be pampered. You will leave inspired, with your heart full, and with a deep knowing that you are supported.

My intention is to give you lots of opportunity for creative play, offer guidance for stepping into the creative flow, support your connections with others, and help you reconnect with the rhythms of the natural world. You will be nurtured and lovingly supported throughout the entire day. Perhaps most importantly, I will give you some tools for anchoring into your inner wisdom through creativity and experiences in nature so that you can maintain this connection in your daily life. I do all this in hopes that this will help you live your absolute best life.

“Action on behalf of life transforms. Because the relationship between self and the world is reciprocal, it is not a question of first getting enlightened or saved and then acting. As we work to heal the earth, the earth heals us.” Robin Wall Kimmerer

If you've been following me for a while you know that I am not one to plead for your business or make claims that my classes or products will change your life. Honesty and integrity are very important to me. AndI'm telling you from my heart - this offering feels different to me. I really want you there. I really want you to see what I see in you. And I really want you to experience the joy of reconnecting to the innate wisdom you can access - just by being alive on this earth.

So what do you say? Care to join me for a journey of reconnection? I'd be absolutely elated if you would register today. Thank you! I can't wait to see you there!
