Web of Life

Web of Life

This collage is a part of a collection designed for my 2022 wall calendar.  Each collage in this calendar collection connects with the others through a flow of energy.  If the viewer looks carefully, the images fit together to tell a full-circle story of interwoven lives and connection between humans, the landscape, and its other inhabitants. Each piece also works as a stand-alone image.  This collage depicts a close-up of a spider’s web among burned branches of a grey post-fire forest. The web is largely composed of words describing spiders and their role in our world.  This is a hat tip to spiders as the ultimate makers of connections.
