This collage is the February image in my 2024 wall calendar focused on migratory birds of the world.  Snowy Owl migrations are extremely variable. Many North American Snowy Owls winter in southeastern Canada, the upper Great Lakes states, and New England almost every year. Winter numbers of Snowy Owls in the U.S. peak periodically, which may be attributed to a lack of food farther north. During these years, Snowy Owls migrate south throughout the lower 48 states, sometimes as far as south as Texas and Florida.  This collage includes the words “Wisdom” and “Listen.”
