This mixed media collage is part of a collection of pieces honoring our pets and all their quirky yet endearing qualities.  The dog I had as a kid always acted tough but was really scared of just about everything.  He was always trying to protect us though.  You could see the struggle this created for him.  This piece is dedicated to our scared pups.  Text incorporated into this image includes: “We’re in this together.” “Yes, I’m scared.”  “You go first.”  and “I’ve got your back.”
