This collage is a part of a collection designed for my 2022 wall calendar.  Each collage in this calendar collection connects with the others through a flow of energy.  If the viewer looks carefully, the images fit together to tell a full-circle story of interwoven lives and connection between humans, the landscape, and its other inhabitants. Each piece also works as a stand-alone image.  This collage depicts an acorn buried under the snow. Seen from below the soil, the viewer gets a glimpse of the new root sprouting quietly in the darkness.  Words incorporated into this piece include “May I be open to know my darkness,” “wisdom,” and “from the ground up.”
