Calliope Hummingbird

Calliope Hummingbird
This collage is the May image in my 2024 wall calendar focused on migratory birds of the world. The Calliope Hummingbird is the smallest long-distance migrant in the world. Calliope Hummingbirds migrate around 8,050 kilometers each year in a big oval from their breeding to wintering grounds. They migrate north along the Pacific Coast of the US in the spring to breed. They return to their wintering grounds in Mexico via an inland route along the Rocky Mountains in the fall. This collage includes the words “I love you so much,” and “Hold gently, support growth.”
