Blue-Winged Teals

Blue-Winged Teals
This collage is the September image in my 2024 wall calendar focused on migratory birds of the world. Like many species of ducks, the Blue-Winged Teal migrates at night to avoid hot temperatures and predators. This species migrates over long distances from as far north as Alaska and northern Canada to as far south as northern South America. As a result, the Blue-Winged Teal is among the latest ducks to migrate northward in spring, and one of the first to migrate southward in fall. This collage includes the words “Guide,” “Flight,” “Follow,” and “Full.”
